Get Involved With Kihci Wombwork Collective

Our collective is built on the belief that community care is powerful, and that every person has something valuable to contribute. Whether you dream of becoming a doula, want to help bring reproductive education to underserved areas, or are simply passionate about advocacy and justice, there’s a place for you here.

We welcome people from all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. Together, we’re building a future where reproductive care is accessible, affirming, and deeply rooted in community.

Join a Doula Training Cohort

Are you called to support families through some of life’s most transformative moments? Becoming a doula is more than a career, it’s a way to create lasting change, one birth and one story at a time.

Our training cohorts are designed to give you the tools, knowledge, and mentorship you need to confidently step into this work. Each cohort includes:

  • Comprehensive, evidence-based training in full-spectrum reproductive support

  • Guidance on how to build your own doula practice or business

  • Mentorship from experienced doulas and birthworkers

  • Practical, real-world experience through workshops, simulations, and client interactions

  • Resources on trauma-informed care, advocacy, and inclusive support

This program is ideal for:

  • Aspiring birthworkers who want to work independently after certification

  • Individuals passionate about reproductive justice, advocacy, and community support

  • Professionals in related fields (like healthcare, mental health, or education) who want to expand their services

Volunteer With the Collective

Not everyone wants to become a doula, and that’s okay. Our work relies on volunteers who believe in our mission and want to make a difference in other ways. Volunteers are the heart of our outreach and advocacy efforts.

Volunteers help us:

  • Staff educational events, school resource fairs, and community programs

  • Distribute body literacy and sexual health kits

  • Assist with behind-the-scenes logistics and organizational support

  • Participate in awareness campaigns and reproductive justice initiatives

  • Support grieving families or assist with postpartum care (with training)

Volunteering is perfect for:

  • Students exploring reproductive health or advocacy careers

  • Community members who want to support without clinical responsibilities

  • Anyone passionate about equity, inclusion, and informed care

This is a great option for:

  • Educators and professionals who want to host workshops or training events

  • Clinics, schools, or nonprofits seeking inclusive reproductive education

  • Businesses and organizations who want to sponsor programming or support our mission

Why Your Involvement Matters

Every time someone joins a cohort, volunteers at an event, or partners with our collective, we get closer to a world where every person, regardless of their background, identity, or circumstance, has access to the support and education they deserve.

Together, we’re building something powerful. We’re building a movement.
